The washington dc residents are very closed minded and are living in a bubble if you ask me.
there has been a history or violence drug dealing and polictical corruption in the capital city.
Public schools in the district was a joke not enough of anything that was needed to stimulate a young
mind and help them to grow and develop. holding down the championship title of the murder capital
for a few years, washington dc was a tragic place to live. being a young man myself at the time this
was accuring i was confused about what was going on around me. this was the nations capital where
the president of the whole nation rested his head and his family, yet we were living in a war zone.
people were getting shoot going to get gas no drug connections no street beef, just cause, teacher in high schools getting shoot by students, metal detectors began to be place in the schools i mean it was sad.
i had friends of mine that were my age who where gunned down in the street for nothing wrong place at the wrong time. as you watch documenteries about how some of most notorious drug dealers come from washington dc you also have to remember that was the past, washington dc in my eyes is not the same place it was 15years ago it has cleaned its self up very well, i was taught coming up that you should always embrace change, with americans embracing the views of dr. king and seeing a need for change we were able to come together as one and raise above the ignorance that was being displayed by our peers. modern times deserves modern answers and solutions, and i say that to say this....we need to stand up and stop acting as if medical cannabis will some how bring unwanted crime to our city, robberies and a reason to fear for your life, thats just CRAZY! we are speaking about a plant here people!!! i heard one dc resident say "how will they prevent the patients from buying from the dispensary and then turning around and selling it in the street" how rediculious can you be! any and every so called legal drug is giving away or resold in the streets Vigra, OC, Perks, i dont see any protest to shut down your local CVS WALGREENS, so stop being STUBBURN residents of washington medical cannabis is here and its here to stay so instead of being so negative open your mind get invovled do some research see how implimenting this will help the city that you love so much ensure that your children get what the need in their schools, not only hepling the patients who need the plant to survive but how the preceeds can help others your mother your father your grandmother who cant afford treatment for their cancer or hiv and are forced to die alone at home in pain because no one cares!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES TIMES HAVE CHANGED!! 4PEOPLE WERE SHOOT THIS WEEKEND IN COLD BLOOD AND NOT ONE MEDICAL DISPENSARY HAS WENT UP YET! THING ABOUT IT!

What taking so long???
Hello folks today in sunday december 18th 2011.
today i will like to talk about whats taking our nations
capital so with implimenting a plan of action to get
a medical cannabis dispensary up and running? it seems
there are having no problems with continuing to take applicants
money but yet we still have patients who continue to wait and suffer,
as washington takes it sweet time with the process. like i said in my previous
blog i lived in denver for over 8yrs and i watch as this process unfolded
in that state for medical cannabis. and whats mind numbing to me is
that the bottom line for this movement is not only to help the hiv and cancer
patients beable to recieve there medicine but it will bring in countless revenue
for our city. much needed revenue if you ask me. i have watched the state of colorado
facilities created countless jobs open up the eyes of youth to enter the feild of medicine
become interested in argiculture, physical therapy, massage therapy, fields that without
the medical caanbis movement they would have never even thought of doing anything
in these fields of study. becoming more intuned with the hiv and cancer patients, becoming
volunteers at local hospitals and clinics, it was a great site to see! :) so i pos the question again..
what taking so long???? i truly believe that once the first dispensary touches down in washington DC
the peolpe will begin to see the change all around them. Peace!!!!

What Should The Medical Marijauna Seen Look in Washington DC?
Im from the Maryland area originally,(Landover) but i moved to Denver Colorado in 2002,
the medical marijuana was fairly new no dispenseries were up and running yet. The idea of cannbis
being legal in any form was just mind blowing to me, coming from maryland where you could
go to jail for a roach or even a seed in the ashtray of your car. Never really been a heavey smoker
as i grew up alot of folks were getting high!!! and it was really looked down upon by people who
felt that if you smoked pot you were destant to use cocaine or crack sooner or later. so as i settled
in to colorado which is a beautiful place by the way i began to follow the movement of medical
cannabis, and the views of the folks that were trying to pass this law were interesting. because like many others i didnt have all the facts just knew that people said it was good for glioma. hey im not a doctor but as i learned more about its uses (marijuana) in patients who were suffering from cancer, hiv, depression, adhd, migrains, stress, and and many other dieases my outlook changed. now all the people that were
going agianst the evolution of medical marijuana veiws began to make no sense at all. just like me you have all seen the the commericals of medicines that are plastered all over the television about a new drug that can help you with an elment you may be dealing with, and along with it comes side effects that im sure you dont want inorder to get rid of of or even just minimize your pain. And these product were very much legal. also companies were making billions of dollars of them as well. the birth of medical cannabis was not only to provide for pateints who chose to use it as a alternative medicine or allow people who use it for recreation, because get real marijuana users are harmless :) its rediculious to be booked and processed for marijuana for personal use. but it would also provide funds for its state to take care of state problems. problems that local residents needed inorder to raise their kids and live a comfortable life: such as safe environment for their schools, reading materials, money for programs, money for roads, provide employment (jobs) restore communites that were feeling the effects of the ression, provise care for people who didnt have insurance or money to pay deductibles. now if your familiar with medical marijuana movement colorado is one of the top states to impliment medical cannabis with great success, dont get me wrong there have been a few set backs along the way but the overall picture is perfect. they say every city in the world has a hood or ghetto, this place would be idenified by low imcome residents run down schools high crime and drug traffic. when i first moved to colorado i went searching for the hood to feel more at home as i familiar with the state and the area i was taking to that represented the ghetto was funny. green grass nice single family homes, living conditions were not at all to be confused with proverty. and i was being told this was the hood (ghetto) of colorado. i stayed in denver for 9years and since the medical marijuana movement has took off there are no readily indentifiable hoods in the state. it has done and continues to serve its purpose for the people of colorado. Now that my home state has hopped on board with the movement how should it be handled? what should it look like? dc and maryland also face more problems when it comes to crimes and drugs, without medical marijuana legal, so if you were in charge what would be the goal of the medical marijuana movement for the nations capital? how would you use the proceeds? and there will be revenue!!! Lots Of IT!
